Tim,
Great post and I couldn't agree with you more in your analysis. I use FSX:SE, P3Dv4 and X-Plane11, but XPL is my go to sim every time. They're are strong arguments all around for each sim, but at the end of the day it's what makes you the most comfortable and happy!
I do have a couple suggested add-ons:
1) Better Push Back (https://github.com/skiselkov/BetterPushbackC/releases) - This allows you to visually set your pushback of ANY aircraft in your inventory, start it and go about your business starting the engines and finishing up pre-flight checks while the ground crew takes care of the rest.
2) 737-900 Ultimate Pre-Release (https://forum.thresholdx.net/files/file ... re-release) - One of the most complete 737's I have ever seen, still in beta, but FREE!
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions!
