Virtual United Airlines

I am at a loss for what to do with ACARS with Xplane; I just purchased the full XPlane 11 version off steam with the CRJ200 (which I love flying the 700, so good start) and I cannot figure out how to setup the Smartcars? I have the XAcars installed as a plugin but don't understand what it is doing? ...
